Make a travel collage poster from a trip photo
Upload one photo from a trip, such as an old-town street at dusk, a mountain lake or a boardwalk through a forest, and the tool keeps it as the upper half of a 3:4 poster. Below a flat torn-paper edge, the road, water or shoreline in the photo continues into a second world on ivory paper, so each place gets its own small story rather than a stock template of tickets and stamps.
More uses
Choose a travel photo with a line through the middle
The second world starts from one structure in the photo that reaches the middle of the frame. In travel photos this is usually a road or a path, a river or the edge of a lake, a shoreline, a pier, railway tracks, a bridge, stairs or a cobbled street. The clearer that line is, the more naturally the scene continues below the tear.
Wide landscapes with an open foreground, quiet streets and waterfronts give the best results. A photo full of small figures, signs and traffic leaves less room for one clear continuation.
What the lower half becomes
Each photo gets its own continuation. A cobbled street can scatter into loose paper stones with a café table beside them, the reflection in a lake can drift down as cut-paper clouds with a small rowing boat, and a forest boardwalk can run on between ferns and fallen leaves with a small walker on it. The tool decides this from the photo itself, so different photos lead to different layouts.
Landmarks and places in the photo
The upper half stays your photo: buildings, mountains, the light of the hour and the colours of the place are kept, with only slight cropping, a little background extension or very light colour grading to fill the frame. The lower half is an illustration that grows out of the scene and is not a map, so it does not show real routes or place names.
Where travel collage posters are used
A travel journal page
Print one poster for each stop of a trip and keep them in a journal or album, or use one as the cover of a printed travel photo book.
A trip recap post
The vertical 3:4 frame suits a portrait post or a slide in a carousel that sums up a holiday, and it stands apart from ordinary filtered landscape shots.
A postcard or a gift
Send a poster as a printed card to the people you travelled with, or frame a favourite place as a small piece of wall art.
How to make a travel collage poster
Pick a photo from the trip
Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP photo in which a road, water, a shoreline or a street runs towards the middle of the frame.
Keep the default settings
The handwritten caption is on and Match photo is selected. Turn the caption off for a poster without text, or select 4K for a large print.
Generate and compare
Check the credits on the Generate button, then generate. Compare the upper half with your original before you print or share it.
Repeat for each stop
Make one poster per place. Every poster appears in the results below the tool and in History, where it can be downloaded.
Credits for travel collage posters
Each poster is one AI generation with a fixed price, which depends on the resolution you select.
The Generate button shows the credits for this poster before you start, and a successful poster costs exactly that amount. Several posters from one trip are charged one by one, so the total is the number of posters multiplied by the price at the resolution you use.
A poster that fails because of our service or our content check costs nothing. If the generation service charges for a failed attempt, you pay that actual usage, never more than the price shown, and the record states the charge.

Can I use photos taken on a phone?
Yes. Phone photos in JPG, PNG or WebP work well. Match photo uses the smallest of 1K, 2K and 4K that holds as many pixels as your photo; 1K, 2K or 4K can be selected instead.
Will the poster show the name of the place?
Not reliably. The optional handwritten caption is a short English line about what happens in the poster, and no other text is added. To label the place, add the name in a design app after you download the poster.
Can I get several versions of the same photo?
Yes. Each generation chooses its own continuation, so generating the same photo again gives a different lower half. Each version is charged separately.
Can I use photos with my travel companions in them?
Yes, as long as you have the right to use the photo and the people in it agree. Faces and clothing are kept in the upper half, but the poster is generated, so compare faces with the original before you share it.
Is the poster suitable for printing?
Select 4K for prints and framed posters. The poster is always vertical 3:4, the same shape as common print sizes such as 18 × 24 inches and 30 × 40 cm.
Give each place from your trip its own poster
Upload a travel photo, keep the default settings and check the credits before you generate the poster.
